DIN500-N is a waterproof WiFi pool heater controller and remote pool heater thermostat for compatible pool, spa, hot tub, gas heater, millivolt heater, heat pump, and cold plunge or ice bath chiller systems. Use the Smart Life app on iOS or Android to turn your heater ON or OFF, monitor water temperature, change the setpoint, and manage heating schedules through the app.
For everyday use, vacation homes, or rental properties, DIN500-N lets you preheat water before arrival and helps reduce unnecessary heater runtime. Instead of investing in expensive proprietary pool automation systems, it gives you practical smart control for many compatible heaters.

Wide Heater Compatibility
DIN500-N is designed for a wide range of compatible water-heating and temperature-control equipment, including many gas pool heaters, millivolt heaters, electric heat pumps, spa heaters, cold plunges, ice baths, or water chillers, and popular systems from brands such as Pentair, Hayward, Jandy, Raypak, and others, depending on the equipment's control design.
For flexible installation, DIN500-N uses a two-wire, no-voltage, no-polarity switching connection. These control wires act like a simple dry-contact switch, protecting the heater's control board while allowing connection to compatible remote control, fireman switch, or thermostat circuits. On many newer gas heaters, it can connect to the two-wire remote/fireman switch input. On some older heater systems, it may be used in place of a mechanical thermostat connection, based on the design.
Universal Two-Wire Dry-Contact Control
The DIN500-N uses two no-voltage, no-polarity control wires that act as a simple switch. This makes it suitable for many compatible heaters with remote/fireman switch inputs or thermostat control circuits.
DIN500-N does not power the heater's main electrical load. The heater's own flow switch, pressure switch, ignition control, limit protection, and safety controls still remain part of the heater.
Smart Life App Features
The app provides advanced control features for modern pool, spa, and heat pump automation. Smart Life is the recommended customer setup app, and Tuya Smart may also work as an alternative for customers who already use the Tuya app ecosystem. A standard WiFi network is required for setup.
- Use Manual Mode for direct ON/OFF control from your phone.
- Use Automatic Mode to control heating based on your selected temperature set point and hysteresis range.
- Use Timer, Delay, Cycle, and countdown routines for scheduled or repeating control.
- Use Temp Reserve to schedule different temperature targets by time or day.

- Create Smart Life automations using schedules, DIN500-N measured temperature, city weather data, your location, or the status of DIN500-N or another Smart Life device.
- Set temperature calibration, high and low temperature alarms, buzzer control, manual switching, and emergency stop.
- Share device access with multiple smartphones for family members, technicians, or property managers.

Compatible with Smart Life integrations such as Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant, Siri Shortcuts, SmartThings, IFTTT, Home Assistant, HomeKit, CarPlay, and other supported platforms for convenient voice-based ON/OFF control and smart-home routines.

- Sensor fitting: includes a plastic sensor holder with standard 1/4 NPT threading, commonly compatible with many heater inlet drain plug locations or other properly prepared inlet pipe locations.
- Custom options: longer wire, different NTC 100 K sensor tip shapes, and regional plug/adaptor versions may be available by request.

Review the DIN500-N manual before wiring. Keep the sensor and controller away from direct heat sources and unnecessary weather exposure whenever possible.
