Greetings. I started small furnance to melt a friend's silver ore. Assembled promoter after 10 minutes then inserted prob 2/3 into opening. It started to rise from 500F to 960F. Not arginine. Probably slag. Works well. James

Seems pretty solid for the price. Came with two thermocouples, a low temp and a high temp. Haven't tested the high temp T/C yet but the low works within +- 5F. Build quality is not world-beating, but looks rugged enough if used with some care.
