When the timer parameter is 0, the timer is off, but if you need to use timer for energy saving, select your needed minute number for timer parameter. When you turn on the controller, so it starts the thermostatic controlling in a set period of time. It is equipped with 2 type timer:

1- timer starts counting down as soon as the controller turns ON and when the time reaches to 0, the controller will turn off the output (hot tub)

2- When the temp reaches to your set point (needed temperature for your hot tub) the timer will start, its timer starts counting down and when the time reaches to 0 minute, the controller will turn the output (hot tub) off. The time control function can be set between 0-999 minutes, depends on the required operation time.
